Ahoy Taverneer is an asymmetric Roll&Write board game for 1 to 4 players, telling the story of a retired pirate who doesn’t quite want to give up his pirate habits.

You can print your copy at a local print shop, library, or even a post office! Some of these places also offer lamination or sell plastic sleeves, so you won’t need to print multiple times – just use dry-erase markers.

In the game, you will have the opportunity to take on the role of a retired pirate who decides to open a tavern in the pirate city of Nassau.
The game will allow you to freely choose the methods by which you will achieve final success.
- You can focus entirely on running your tavern business.
- You can focus on returning to the seas and oceans to plunder, loot, search for treasures, fight merchants and gain fame by hunting mythical sea creatures.
- You can engage in trade in other ports, acquiring exotic goods and gold.
- You can also focus on conducting shady deals in the city of Nassau itself, where a club and a knife in dark alleys solve almost all local problems.
- Or maybe you’ll focus on hosting the crews of other pirate ships in your cozy tavern, with suitably pirate-friendly service.
You can also combine these activities however you like, as long as you have enough time before the British restore order to Nassau by force.
Because did we mention that you have a limited time?

Every game is different
This is ensured by:
– 3 different decks of cards representing ships visiting the players, not all of which will call at the port of Nassau during a single game
– Different game variants will delight both those who like fast-paced and complex gameplay
– Many different career paths to success
– Additional maps provide a variety of gameplay conditions
– The asymmetry and uniqueness of the gameplay is also ensured by the choice of location for each player’s tavern (different starting bonuses)
– Each player decides on the initial development of their tavern (additional asymmetry of the game)

To quote Honore de Balzac, “It is quite right what they say: the three most beautiful sights in the world are a ship in full sail, a galloping horse, and a woman dancing”, the horses are in the stable, the ship somewhere in the Caribbean, but the women…
Each of you will be able to choose whether you want to play focusing on the gameplay (cool) or allow yourself to be slightly distracted (hot)…
